How to join HINDUSTAN
LEVER NETWORK (HLN):
For joining HLN you have to
fill in an application form. Your name has to be sponsored by an
existing consultant.. HLN then gives a kit containing all business
manuals, product brochures, application forms, order forms etc, a smart
bag and some product samples for Rs 2,450/- and enroll you as a
consultant. For record and accounting purposes they also give you an
identity card with I.D. No.
Advantages of network

cent or more of the margin or markup which was charged by the middle men
is now given to the consultants.
The consultant
gets the product direct from HLN, hence the material is always genuine,
never 'Nakali'.

INTRODUCTION:
In the
normal marketing system, the manufacturer supplies the products through
the middle men such as brokers, wholesalers and retailers. These
middle-men add their establishment costs and their own margin of profit
or commission on the price. This increases the price by approximately 45
per cent. The consumer therefore gets the product at atleast a 45 per
cent markup from the manufacturer's price.
NETWORK MARKETING:
In
network marketing, these middle men are eliminated. A person is invited
to join and become a member (also called Consultant) of the network
marketing company. This person in turn invites many more people to join
under him to form a group. These group members, in turn invite their
acquaintance to join under them. This group is made to steadily grow and
it can grow into thousands or tens of thousands, in the course of time,
depending upon the enthusiasm with which the Consultant pursue the
sponsorship of new Consultants.
These Consultants
make purchases of the products of the marketing company for self use and
also for sale to other consumers. For their loyalty in regularly

Each
consultant in the group gets his shares of benefits depending upon the
purchases made by him and also by the number of the consultant under him
(called downlines). This is called network marketing.
The growth in the beginning will be slow, from 1
to 2 to 4.......but later on it will be rapid, 1000 to 2000 to

consultant has purchased goods worth Rs 1,000/- in the month. The
