The pursuit of ice cream truth lives on...

A little birdie told me...that Homer Hudson, in the quest for uncompromising ice cream perfection, is still quietly working at his secret location in the pursuit ice cream thats simply as good as it gets. Honest.

The bird lied......Homer wasn't smart enough to know that the supermarkets weren't interested in another overpriced ice cream from a company that was under-funded, and made under contract by the same company that produces low quality gut fill.

Yes! It's back!
Found Hoboken Crunch and Chocolate Rock at Coolum IGA (Sunshine Coast QLD). Also rumoured that Wahroonga IGA is also stocking HH.

I can't believe there are other like flavoured people out there :o)

In pursuit of ice cream happiness...

Hi

I have also discovered the Great Homer via this website. So did half of 7 Eleven in Fairfield when I found Choc Rock and the delectable Hoboken Crunch on the shelf. I shouted to the whole store..'The great Homer is back. There is justice in the world!'

I have searched other shelves of 7 eleven and have discovered it in Kogarah, Newtown and Guildford. I have still to find the other two great flavours, Strawberry Heaven (I think that's what it was called) and Honey Malt Marbles.

If anyone else has any info on the great Homer I will definately appreciate it as I'm sure other visitors to this Homer site would.

Cheers

Jus.

I still cant believe it!

Hey Guys,
Just before Xmas 2002 it had been nearly 7 years since i had had any Homer Hudson...that was until my sister found some at a small juice bar in Bowral, a small town in the Southern Highlands.
I was totally overwhelmed...I thought that they had stopped making Homer but its back and thats all that matters. The store we found them in had 11 tubs and we got them all!
Its grea to no that there are so many Homer Fans out there.
Good luck in your search for more Homer Hudson.
Love Sara

G'day guys.
Anyone seen HH in Melbourne??? After years of searching every 7-11 known to man (& woman with a craving for rich chocolate ice cream) I'm still desperate. I used to sit in the garden with a tub of Chocolate Rock all to my self - complete bliss!
Oh, by the way, happy Valentines Day all!

Has anyone tried the IGAs on Melbourne? The 7-11s don't have it..

I'm getting rather desparate here, I've only got two weeks to find it before I leave for the UK where even the expensive 'luxury' icecream is terrible

It's True!
Wahroonga IGA have both Hoboken Cunch and Chocolate Rock in store for $7.95 per 500mL tub.
I bough t a tub on 06th March 2003.
Delicious.
Why it disappeared for so long I don't know.
Anyone know why STREETS pulled the plug on it?
Why is it back now?

Hi Guys,
I couldnt believe that I wasnt the only one that cant find my beloved chocolate rock icecream. I was begining to think that i was the only one that had ever heard of it. I too have asked for it at numerous shops and gotten the same reply. That they've never heard of it and cant get it in. The last time I was able to get it was back in 1995 when I was at Uni at Gatton in Queensland.
