First of all, thank you for your time and
patience. I would be
very much interested in knowing more about lobster farming. To this
effect, i am kindly requesting your assistance on whether you could lead
me to some information sources about the said subject.
At the moment, i am
still collecting as much information as possible, prior to contacting
our national fisheries/acquaculture authorities. A thorough feasibility
study will be required, before i can approach someone for assistance.
I am located in Malta
(an island just below Italy,) and export of acquaculure produce has been
moderatley succesful by local companies. I am thus interested on whether
a similar set-up could be adopted for fattening young lobsters from
Malta. The grow out facilities could be located by the water`s edge,
possibly using either sea bore-hole water (constant at 21oC) or ambient
water (fluctuates 14oC and 28oC).
