Most of brands sold as 'olive oil' are cheap mixes of olive oil and canola, pomace or hazelnut oils.

The term 'First cold pressed' it is a nonsense because the word FIRST indicate that there will be a second pression. This is not true and the REG EC 1019/2002 prohibits to write first cold pressed starting from November 2003.

It is possible to use COLD PRESSED for an oil obtained by pression and COLD EXTRACTED for an oil obtained by continuous method (decanter).

When it is write cold pressed or cold extracted the EC rules specify that the temperaature of extraction and malaxation for both COLD EXTRACTED and COLD pressed must be below than 37°C

I make a mistake indicating the temperature it is 27°C and not 37
