We happen to breed Pot Belly Pigs and only ONE of
our pigs is over 100 pounds.The others are full grown adults 3 plus
years old and weigh between 25 and 45 pounds (I can pick them up in my
arms and hold them). So not ALL Pot Bellies are big. I also adopt adult
unwanted Pot Bellies but some people want babies so that they can be
raised inside the home (which we have 3 litter trained pigs sleeping in
their bed now in the livingroom right now). So, please do not tell
people that they need/should adopt from a sanctuary unless you also tell
them that alot of adult pigs already have their minds set one way and
it's hard to train them to do as you'd like. At least one of our
adoptee's is that way,we've had her for well over a year and she does
what she wants when she wants and is still very people shy. Thanks. |
