opted to attend to this matter
(Philippines iron
ore and Manganese ore mines) next.
Right now, the
Philippines high quality iron ore (67% Fe to 74% Fe concentrations)
mines (three
sites of reserves in the amount of
1.5 billion MT)are sitting almost idled. Philippine domestic
demand for iron ore is stagnant. Most steel mills
in the country had closed down some twenty years
ago. All of these mines are under the control of
my uncle, a congressman of the province one of
the mines is located in. The other two are under
the control of his friends, one is a governor and
the other is another congressman. They will be
our backers as far as the governmewnt of the
Philippines is concerned.
To open these mines, including a mountain of high
quality manganese ore, some investors are
needed.
A) Machinery; for each mine, we need some 20
trucks capable of loads of around 10 MT/trip, 5
loaders, 5 crushers, mobile conveyor systems,
etc., togehter with some amount of money for
operation start-ups. The mines are at an average
of 50 KM distance from the port.
B) Manganese ore
mine: feasibility studies have been done. Proven reserve amounts to
around
500,000,000 MT of high quality ore (50% Mg
to 60% Mg). This is a virgin mountain. The right to
mine and sell the ore is my relative.
C) Chromite reserves; there are several in the
country. One reserve is the whole island of
estimated deposit 1billion MT.
