PETROBRAS AT THE PLATE:
It looked extremely rocky for the Petrobras
sellers that day; July 28th was upon them, with just a week or two left
to play; And so when the hotel brokers were starting to fade away; A
sickly silence fell upon the patrons of the game.
A straggling few got up
to go in deep despair. The rest clung to that hope which springs eternal
in the human breast;They thought, "If only Benzser could but get a whack
at that —We'd put up even money now, with Benzser at the bat."
But the hotel brokers
preceeded Benzser and so did all the flakes. The former was puddin' the
latter were all fakes; And on the stricken multitude a death like
silence sat;
For there seemed but little chance
of Benzser getting up to bat.
The first hotel broker, was struck out one...
two.... three; The phony intermediary didn't last but three; The
Petrobras sellers were worried and sick; all of them praying, "God
please help me".
And
then from five thousand throats and more there rose a lusty yell; It
rumbled through the valley, it rattled in the dell; It pounded on the
mountain and recoiled upon the flat,
For
Benzser, mighty Benzser, was advancing to the bat.
There was ease in
Benzer's manner as he stepped into his place;There was pride in
Benzser's bearing and a smile lit Benzser's face. And when, responding
to the cheers, he lightly doffed his hat, No stranger in the crowd could
doubt 'twas Benzser at the bat.
Benzser said, "don't worry folks I'm here to
save your ass". "I'll move those Petrobras bonds tomorrow just get them
to Zurich fast". The smart Petrobras sellers did move their bonds to
Zurich; and Benszer cashed them out before the market went to zero.
