Marine Services was established to provide professional shipping
services to the ship owners worldwide. The principal activities of Abhi
Marine are connected to shipping which includes crew manning, ship
brokering, ship agents handling various types of cargo and vessels of
all nationalities. The company management and staff are fully qualified,
very well experienced and having strong background and knowledge in
shipping.

SHIP AGENCY
Operation and
Logistics
Arrange berthing of the vessel.
Signing on/signing off Officers and Crew.
Arranging to provide sailing squads such as
qualified Welders / Fitters / Gas cutters / Fabricators / Motorman/
Electricians/ Cargo Superintendent/ Master Mariners etc.
Arranging to provide Hotel Management/
Maintenance staff of different categories for Cruise Vessel.
Arranging all necessary repatriation,
accommodation and transportation for the Officers and crew of the Vessel
as per the requirements of the Principals.
Arranging supply of bunker/fresh water/
provision/ deck stores/ engine stores/ repairs etc as per request of the
Principals and the master of the respective vessels.
We also attend to Port state control Inspections
liaising with PSC surveyors and conduct second party audits in
accordance with the ISM Code, thus saving considerable expenses to
owner’s/managers.
We are registered agents with
port- Authorities.
Clearances
Provide Inward/Outward clearance for the vessel.
Arranging for custom’s clearance of the Ship
Store/ Air Freight etc.
Co-ordination with
Principals
Maintain a close co-ordination with
the Principals on all matters pertaining to the vessel at Chennai Port
and if required at any other Indian Port if the necessity arises.
CREW MANNING
Selection of
Seafarers
Maintaining an updated database of
seafarers to ensure continuity and quality of personnel sailing on all
the vessel managed by us. Maintaining systematic personnel service
records, internal/external auditing systems and other documentation. All
the data stored and accessed with our custom - made software. Selecting
the best qualified seafarers from our pool, who meet with the exact
requirements of the principal and shipping regulations in accordance
with the ISM code, with regard to certification in compliance with STCW
95/98, regulation’s in force.
Our marine
superintendent for the personality traits such as competence, ability
and confidence screens all the candidates, and a confidential file
opened for each candidate. Special care is taken for qualified cadets,
as to their progress and guidance given for their examinations.
Training and Equipping Seafarers
Arranging medical examination of the selected
seafarers in accordance with ILO and flag state regulations. Familiarize
the seafarers with on board regulations such as SMS (Safety Management
systems) e.g.: SOPEP (shipboard Oil Pollution Emergency Procedures) -
Garbage Management - Environmental protection rules - PPEP (Piracy
Prevention Emergency Procedures and Polices as required by the
principles. Arrange seminars, training sessions etc. for seafarers as
per the requirements of the ISM code. Arrange all travel documents and
travel arrangements required for the purpose of joining the principal’s
vessel in a minimum time.
CLEARING & FORWARDING
SERVICES
Documentation
Arranging to file all necessary documents with
the departments concern for clearing the Import/Export cargoes.
Stevedoring
Arranging
sufficient gangs, equipments for loading / Discharging the cargoes from
the vessel.
Transportation
Arranging sufficient trucks for clearing the
cargoes from the port/ Warehouses.
